Diode laser technology for reducing facial and body hair. Your plan is tailored to your skin tone, hair type, and treatment area.

Your skin, your pace

Less hair.
More ease in your day.

Venus Velocity uses a diode laser for hair removal on the face and body. At BÖTH, we treat women and men with a multi-session plan, an initial assessment, and ongoing progress checks.

01

Long-lasting reduction

Its energy acts on the hair follicle to reduce hair growth over time. Responses vary from person to person.

02

Different skin tones

The manufacturer describes its use across all skin types. A consultation helps tailor treatment to your skin and the hair in each area.

03

Built-in cooling

The device's cooling system helps keep you comfortable during laser treatment.

04

Efficient sessions

It can be used on small and large areas. Appointment length depends on the size and number of areas treated.

Permanent hair reduction does not mean every hair will disappear forever. Maintenance sessions may be needed.

How it works

Energy directed
at the hair follicle

Pigment in the hair absorbs the laser's energy. That energy acts on the follicle to reduce its ability to grow hair.

The hair-growth cycle matters
Hair passes through the anagen, catagen, and telogen phases. The anagen, or growth, phase responds best to treatment.
One session cannot reach every follicle
Hair follicles are not all in the same phase at once. That is why treatments are scheduled across several sessions, weeks apart.
A plan for your skin and hair
The area, hair type, and skin tone are all assessed to guide treatment and follow-up.

These figures come from the patient brochure. Your plan is set during a consultation and adjusted according to your progress.

4 to 8weeks between sessions

These are the manufacturer's reference ranges, not a guaranteed duration or number of sessions. Treating several areas may take longer.

  1. Initial assessment

We review your skin tone, hair type, treatment area, and history. We explain what to expect and how to care for your skin before treatment begins.

  2. Laser session

We treat the agreed area with the device's built-in cooling system. Tell us if you feel any discomfort during the session.

  3. Follow-up

We review your progress and schedule the next session according to your plan. Repeat sessions address hair in different growth cycles.

We answer your questions

Before your
first session

We want you to understand the treatment and know what to ask during your consultation.

Is the hair removal permanent?

The indication of permanent reduction means a stable decrease in regrowing hair, assessed over time. It does not mean 100% of the hair is gone forever; some people need touch-up sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

The brochure suggests 4 to 6 sessions, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, as a guide. The number you need depends on the area, skin tone, hair type, and your individual response. We will discuss this during your consultation.

Is it for women and men?

Yes. The brochure covers facial and body areas, including the chest and back. At BÖTH, care is tailored to each person, with privacy and an initial assessment.

Can I be treated if I have a tan?

The brochure includes all skin tones, including tanned skin. Even so, tell us about recent sun exposure so we can decide whether to proceed or postpone treatment. Follow the sun-protection guidance you receive.

What should I tell you before treatment?

Tell us about previous problems with laser treatment, a tendency to develop keloids, herpes or infection in the area, medications such as isotretinoin, and recent waxing, tweezing, or electrolysis. A professional will assess whether treatment is suitable.

What aftercare is needed?

Temporary sensitivity or redness may occur. Avoid excessive sun exposure and follow the cleansing and sun-protection guidance you receive. Ask when you can resume hot baths, massage, or other treatments on the area.

What is pseudofolliculitis barbae?

It is one of the indications the manufacturer lists for Venus Velocity. If you have concerns related to beard hair, ask for an assessment before choosing treatment.

How much does Venus Velocity hair removal cost?

Pricing depends on the areas and your treatment plan. Book a complimentary consultation to learn about the options available at BÖTH.

Manufacturer information and scope of results

Content based on the 2026 Venus Velocity patient brochure MKVLSP004-00-REVA, casebook MKVLES005-00-REVA, and the supplied roll-up. The cases in those materials are examples from their authors and centers, not results obtained at BÖTH.

The manufacturer lists indications for hair removal, permanent hair reduction, and treatment of pseudofolliculitis barbae. Permanent reduction is defined as a stable long-term decrease in regrowing hair, measured 6, 9, and 12 months after a treatment regimen ends. Individual results vary.
